Unveiling the Busts of the Founding Fathers & inauguration of Academic Exhibition 2020 on 17^th March, 2020 at College Campus.

Honourable Chief Guest, Dr. Partha Chaterjee, Minister-In-Charge, Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal, unveiled the busts of the founding fathers of Serampore College William Carey, Joshua Marshman and William Ward on 17^th February, 2020 in the campus with the presence of the Principal & CEO, Dr. Vansanglura. The Minister also inaugurated the Academic Exhibition of Serampore College, 2020. The honourable Chief Guest addresses the gathering with appreciation and praise for the activities and good initiatives taken by the college.

Serampore College celebrated bicentenary in 2018 with a theme of “Education for Transformation”. With having in mind ‘2018 and beyond’, to fulfill commitment, zeal for development, to develop creativity in our students, to develop the spirit of inquiry, readiness to learn, Serampore College have come up with this great event ‘Academic Exhibition, 2020’, where the students of Arts, Science, Commerce, Theology as well as different clubs and cells will excel themselves with their talents, creative ideas, knowledge and their striving for perfection. With great pleasure, they also been able to accord space to other institutions to showcase and share their own pursuit of academic excellence, providing which remains our goal.

The Principal & CEO, Dr. Vansanglura in his welcome address by quoting the famous lines of our founder-father, the first Principal of Serampore College Rev Dr. William Carey;

“Expect Great Things from God, Attempt Great Things for God”.
