Area of Specialisation :

Physical Chemistry

Research Interest :

  1. Study of Quantum Dynamics of model atoms, molecules and clusters. This study includes methhodological devolupments of quantum dynamics. Interest is mainly centered on discrete variable representation schemes like Fourier Grid Hamiltonian method. Our Main turget is to solve time dependendent Schrodinger equatiom by suitable use of several approxamation techniques.
  2. Suitable modeling of real quantum systems and applications involving some important phenomenological studies. Study of photo-dissociation dynamic, tunneling dynamics, and dynamics of photo-ionization. Our main goal is to find out a mechanism of controlling these processes. Phase space localization and quantum chaos are also topics of interest.
  3. Dynamics of 2-d Quantum dots-in presence of an external field-freezing of dynamics is of particular interest.
  4. Electronic structure theory: Interest is mainly centered on coupled cluster theory and many body perturbation theories.
