TETE A TETE BETWEEN RUPAK AND THE WORLD OF CLASSICAL MUSIC

One of the finest classical tabla players of the new generation of India, Rupak is a graded artiste of All India Radio, and Television as well, stood FIRST in ALL INDIA RADIO MUSIC COMPITION- 2004 and achieved PRESIDENT’S AWARD, Delhi. Rupak was selected as NATIONAL SCHOLAR, 2003-05, by the Department Of Culture, Govt. of India. He was honored PT. NIKHIL GHOSH MEMORIAL PROMISING ARTISTE AWARD,Mumbai,2005.Rupak is the senior most disciple of the legendary , Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, performed in number of prestigious concerts allover India, and in Germany, Switzerland, Thailand (WORLD HERITAGE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2009) with famous and stalwart musicians like, Debashish Bhattacharya, Tejendra Narayan Mazumder, Saumitro Lahiry, Shohanlal Sharma, Ranajit sengupta, Partho Sarathy, Wolfgang Netzer ,Ken Zukerman, Miguel Guldimann, to name a few. He performed with Anindo Chatterjee in DUET TABLA SOLO in number of prestigious concerts. Rupak has already two released music albums named, “RHYTHM OF PASSION”, from Questz World, and “ANURAAG”, from Suisa, Switzerland.
