Area of Specialisation :

Plant physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology

Research Interest :

Physiology, biochemistry and molecular biological changes due to abiotic stresses in crop plants and aquatic plants. The effect heavy metal (Pb, Cd, Al, Cr etc) stresses on aquatic plants as well as crop plants, phytoaccumulation of metals and their consequent physiological changes. Effect of salinity stress on crop plants particularly on rice.Isolation and characterization of plant peptides and their hormone like activities.
