Installation of Pollution Monitoring Unit WBPCB, Govt. of WB

Installation of Air and Pollution Monitoring LED Display Board by West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), Department of Environment, Government of West Bengal in Serampore College Campus.
Serampore College has participated in National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). As a part of NCAP, West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), Department of Environment, Government of West Bengal has installed Continuous Ambient Air Quality and Real Time Noise Monitoring facilities as well as LED Display Board with Sensor in our College campus on 27 October 2021.
Air quality and noise level data have been continuously displaying in the LED Board in college campus which would have immense importance for our students and researchers.
The Compact Air Quality Monitoring Station is sensor based, cloud-connected unit that measures PM1, PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2 & meteorological parameters of Ambient Temperature and Relative Humidity. The Noise Monitoring Station is a Class 1 cloud-connected unit, measuring Lmax, Lmin, Leq, Lpeak etc. parameters. Both the systems are calibrated every 3 to 4 months and the maintenance is the responsibility of WBPCB. The LED Display Board is a single colour cloud-connected outdoor unit with 24 sq ft. of display.
